Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: New Wild Cosmos

Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: New Wild Cosmos is a major entry in the long-running Chinese animated franchise Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, which debuted in 2005. This particular iteration, released in 2024, reflects the series' ongoing evolution from simple slapstick comedy toward more sophisticated, high-concept science fiction narratives. It continues the saga's core themes of friendship, courage, and clever problem-solving, which have made the franchise a cultural touchstone in Chinese animation for nearly two decades.

The production maintains the distinctive character designs established by the Creative Power Entertaining company, emphasizing expressive, simplified aesthetics that appeal to younger audiences while retaining the narrative depth necessary to engage older viewers. By moving the setting into the cosmos, the series developers aimed to expand the franchise's creative scope, utilizing advanced digital animation techniques to render the fantastical environments of the New Wild Cosmos. It has been well-received as a modernized continuation that preserves the spirit of the original beloved characters.
