Where it came from
Pocari Sweat, a staple Japanese sports drink launched by Otsuka Pharmaceutical in 1980, has maintained a long-standing cultural presence through creative marketing and event partnerships. The collaboration with Fuji Rock Festival in 2017 served as a strategic initiative to provide hydration for attendees navigating the unpredictable weather and demanding terrain of the Naeba Ski Resort during the three-day music event.
The branding for this specific 2017 activation utilized the iconic Pocari Sweat color palette of blue and white, adapted to incorporate the festival's rugged, outdoor-focused aesthetic. These items, often distributed to participants or sold as event-exclusive commemorative merchandise, were designed to reflect the brand's identity as a source of relief and vitality, fitting seamlessly into the festival's atmosphere of endurance and celebration.
