The story begins when Hana, Saaya, and Homare from Hugtto! PreCure take Hagutan out for her flower garden debut. All of a sudden, the monster Usobaakka appears. He attempts to change the world into the one filled with lies and kidnaps Saaya and Homare. Hana learns the girls of Maho Girls PreCure! and Kirakira PreCure a la Mode are also his targets and decides to support them. During the battle, Hana remembers one unfulfilled promise from Usobaakka's word "Promises are lies that can't be kept by anyone." It was Hana's very important promise with a boy named Clover, whom she met in a strange world in her childhood. She gradually realizes the promise is the beginning of this big trouble. In cooperation with the PreCure girls in three generations, will Hana be able to beat the strongest enemy Usobaakka and fulfill the promise with Clover?

Where it came from
Precure Super Stars! was produced by Toei Animation as the twenty-fourth theatrical entry in the long-running Pretty Cure franchise. Released in March 2018, the film serves as a crossover event, specifically highlighting the team from the then-current series Hugtto! Precure alongside characters from Kirakira Precure a la Mode and Maho Girls Precure. The narrative centers on a conflict involving an entity named Usobakka, which threatens to cover the world in lies, forcing the protagonists to unite across their respective magical universes.
The film’s aesthetic continues the tradition of vibrant, high-energy animation synonymous with the Precure brand, emphasizing dynamic action sequences and elaborate magical transformation sequences. Directed by Koji Ogawa and written by Junko Komura, the production sought to balance the distinct visual styles of the three featured teams while maintaining a cohesive, fast-paced tone for its younger audience. Upon its release, it was received as a standard but energetic contribution to the franchise's yearly spring movie cycle, praised by fans for its focus on character interaction and the integration of the Hugtto! team.
