Ruguo Lishi Shi Yi Qun Miao 4

Ruguo Lishi Shi Yi Qun Miao, often translated as If History Were a Group of Cats, is an educational and humorous web animation series produced by the Chinese studio Fatchi Moxie. The fourth installment of the series continues the studio's distinctive approach of condensing complex historical narratives from the Twenty-Four Histories into accessible, bite-sized episodes where historical figures are depicted as cats. The project was conceived to engage younger generations with Chinese history through a lighthearted, visually cohesive medium that maintains historical accuracy despite its whimsical character design.

The series is celebrated for its minimalist aesthetic, which utilizes clean lines and an expressive color palette to differentiate various dynasties and eras. By anthropomorphizing historical luminaries as feline archetypes, Fatchi Moxie successfully lowered the barrier to entry for historical study, turning potentially dense archival material into a viral cultural phenomenon. The fourth season, like its predecessors, was met with significant praise from domestic audiences and educational critics for balancing academic rigor with creative, stylized animation.
