Ruguo Lishi Shi Yi Qun Miao 7

Ruguo Lishi Shi Yi Qun Miao, or If History Was a Group of Cats, is an animated web series produced by the Chinese studio Fatchi Moxie. The project emerged from the popular trend of anthropomorphizing historical figures to make educational content more accessible and engaging for younger digital audiences. The seventh installment continues the series' established format of using comedic, feline-inspired character designs to recontextualize significant events from Chinese history.

The creative direction focuses on a minimalist aesthetic that favors expressive character acting over high-fidelity animation. Designed to simplify complex narratives into digestible, humor-driven shorts, the series has been well-received by its target demographic on platforms like Bilibili for its blend of historical fact and lighthearted satire. The studio maintains a consistent visual identity across the franchise, ensuring that even as the historical eras shift, the tone remains recognizable and cohesive.
