Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Kokorowa Rice Cultivation Diary

The Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Kokorowa Rice Cultivation Diary was produced by P.A.WORKS as a special companion release following the continued popularity of the Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin franchise. Emerging from the studio's reputation for high-quality animation and atmospheric storytelling, this project was developed to provide fans with an intimate look into the technical and narrative world of the series. The diary serves as a creative expansion, focusing on the character Kokorowa and the meticulous agricultural mechanics that define the game's unique identity.

The design of the diary is heavily influenced by traditional Japanese aesthetic sensibilities, blending educational agricultural history with the whimsical fantasy art style established by the original game. P.A.WORKS utilized a team of character designers and historical consultants to ensure that the content remained authentic to both the lore of the series and the actual techniques of ancient rice cultivation. Upon its release, it was received as a thoughtfully crafted piece of ephemera that deepened the player's connection to the series' core themes of labor, harvest, and divine responsibility.
