Scissor Seven Extras

Scissor Seven Extras, produced by Sharefun Studio, serve as companion content to the broader Scissor Seven animated series. These short-form pieces were developed to deepen the world-building of the ONA series, which first gained international attention for its blend of slapstick comedy, wuxia themes, and a distinct minimalist art style. These extras function as vignettes that explore the peripheral lives of the series' eccentric cast, maintaining the studio's focus on fluid action choreography and sudden shifts in tone.

The creative direction behind these segments stems from the studio's desire to experiment with character depth outside the constraints of the main narrative arcs. By utilizing the same creative team that defined the show's visual identity, Sharefun Studio aimed to provide fans with supplementary lore that balances the series' signature humor with poignant storytelling. Upon release, these segments were well-received by the show's established audience for successfully capturing the charm and pacing that made the primary ONA series a standout in the streaming landscape.
