Sekirei: Pure Engagement Special

Sekirei: Pure Engagement, the 2010 sequel series to the original anime adaptation of Sakurako Gokurakuin's manga, was produced by Studio Seven Arcs. This special installment was released as an OVA episode, serving as an extension of the harem and action-oriented narrative that follows protagonist Minato Sahashi as he navigates the complex, combat-driven dynamics of the Sekirei Project. The production aimed to maintain the series' signature blend of intense battle sequences and character-focused fan service, bridging the gap between the core plot points of the second season.

The visual design and animation direction for this special were consistent with the aesthetic established by director Keizo Kusakawa and the creative team at Seven Arcs. They prioritized high-energy character designs and fluid combat choreography to satisfy the expectations of the established fanbase. Upon release, the special was received as a standard accompaniment to the broader Sekirei media franchise, appreciated by those invested in the ongoing development of the series' extensive roster of lead characters.
