Seven Mortal Sins Zange-roku

Seven Mortal Sins Zange-roku is a series of short, bonus ONA (Original Net Animation) episodes released in 2017 alongside the main anime series Seven Mortal Sins. Produced by Studio Artland and TNK, these episodes were designed to provide lighthearted, comedic commentary on the heavier themes of the main series. They functioned as a direct-to-audience engagement tool, released primarily through digital platforms to sustain interest in the franchise's character-driven narrative.

The series was developed within the context of Hobby Japan's larger media franchise, which is centered on highly detailed character figures embodying the seven deadly sins. The character designs for the animation were adapted by Sachiko Yasuda from the original illustrations, focusing on a stylized, provocative aesthetic intended to appeal to fans of the core figure collection. Upon release, the shorts were received as niche supplementary content, valued by collectors for their expansion of character backstories rather than their narrative complexity.
