Despite the title this OVA has nothing to do with sex, just young people rebelling against the world.
The promotional video is a home video exclusive titled SEX ~prologue~ directed by Sayo Yamamoto and animated by studio MAPPA. The anime depicts an original story before the manga where Kaho arrives, and when Yuki and Natsu have just met in Okinawa.
To receive the PV, customers must first purchase all four volumes of the Sex 30th Anniversary Edition manga volumes, take the tickets included in volumes 1-3 and send them with the postcard included with volume 4. The Blu-ray Disc will be sent to buyers in March 2018 so long as the postcard is postmarked before December 31.

Where it came from
SEX: prologue was released as a promotional original video animation produced by the animation studio MAPPA. It was created to serve as a high-concept teaser for the manga series SEX, originally authored by Atsushi Kamijo, which explores themes of youth, music, and the rebellious spirit of the late 1980s. The production sought to capture the kinetic, stylized aesthetic of Kamijo’s original artwork through the fluid animation techniques that would eventually become synonymous with MAPPA’s house style.
The project is notable for its deliberate attempt to translate the distinct visual language of 1980s manga into a motion medium, focusing on atmospheric storytelling and character-driven design. It was primarily marketed to fans of the original print source material as an experimental companion piece. While the OVA served as a visually arresting showcase for the studio's technical capabilities at the time, it remains a niche artifact primarily recognized within the broader history of MAPPA’s early portfolio and as a dedicated homage to Kamijo’s influential character designs.
