Don-chan is being bullied by Yaragase, but when Boku keeps seeing it happen, he has to ask himself, what will he do?
Shiranpuri is one of the four anime works that each received 38 million yen (about US$470,000) from the "2011 Young Animator Training Project." Just like in 2010, the animation labor group received 214.5 million yen (US$2.65 million) from the Japanese government's Agency for Cultural Affairs, and it distributed most of those funds to studios who train young animators on-the-job.

Where it came from
Shiranpuri is a short animated film released in 2012 by the Japanese studio Shirogumi. It was produced as part of the Anime Mirai project, an initiative sponsored by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs to support the training of young animators and preserve the artistry of domestic traditional hand-drawn animation techniques within the digital age.
The film was directed by Norihiko Sudō and is notable for its gentle, whimsical aesthetic that characterizes much of Shirogumi's experimental portfolio. As a short produced under the Anime Mirai banner, the design focuses on atmospheric storytelling and character-driven narrative, reflecting the project’s goal to foster creativity in emerging artists rather than aiming for large-scale commercial success.
