Shouji Li de Huanxiong Xiaozhen

Shouji Li de Huanxiong Xiaozhen, known internationally as Raccoon Town in Your Phone, is an original net animation series produced by the Chinese digital platform Bilibili. Released as a response to the growing demand for short-form, slice-of-life digital content, the series centers on an imaginative, miniaturized world that exists within the confines of a smartphone. It serves as a creative exploration of the relationship between modern technology and cozy, anthropomorphic storytelling, reflecting the platform's broader strategy of investing in domestic animation talent to cultivate a distinct visual identity within the competitive streaming landscape.

The visual design of the series leans into a soft, approachable aesthetic characterized by pastel color palettes and simplified character silhouettes, a style intended to appeal to younger demographics and those seeking comforting, low-stakes narratives. By focusing on the daily lives of its raccoon inhabitants, the production team aimed to evoke a sense of digital pastoralism, turning the abstract environment of mobile software into a tangible, whimsical setting. While the show maintains a niche following, its reception among fans of Chinese indie animation highlights a successful fusion of contemporary digital themes with traditional character-driven storytelling.
