Si Hai Jing Qi 2

Si Hai Jing Qi 2 is an original net animation series produced by the studio CHOSEN, continuing the narrative established in the first season. The series belongs to the burgeoning genre of high-budget 3D Chinese animation, which often draws from historical fantasy and xianxia aesthetics to appeal to domestic streaming audiences. Its development reflects a broader industry trend toward serialized, CGI-intensive storytelling that emphasizes fluid combat choreography and elaborate character modeling.

The visual identity of the series was crafted to align with contemporary digital animation standards in China, prioritizing atmospheric lighting and textured environments to differentiate it from traditional 2D animation styles. Upon its release, the project was generally received as a technical evolution for the studio, reflecting a focused effort to refine the character expressions and pacing that defined the franchise's initial entry. Critics and fans of the medium often cite it as an example of the studio’s commitment to growing its creative footprint within the competitive domestic streaming market.
