Sore Ike! Anpanman: Roboly to Pokapoka Present

Sore Ike! Anpanman: Roboly to Pokapoka Present was released in 2023 as the thirty-fourth feature film in the long-running Anpanman franchise. Produced by TMS Entertainment, the film was created to celebrate the franchise's enduring legacy while introducing new characters, specifically Roboly, a robot who struggles to find joy in making things until meeting Anpanman. The film continues the series' long-standing mission to provide gentle, educational, and morally grounded storytelling for young children, maintaining the core themes of kindness and selflessness established by creator Takashi Yanase.

The production design adheres to the established visual language of the Anpanman universe, which emphasizes simple, bold shapes and bright, primary colors designed to be visually accessible to a preschool audience. Directed by Hiroyuki Yahata, the film aims to bridge traditional hand-drawn animation aesthetics with contemporary narrative pacing. Upon its release in Japanese theaters, the film was received as a standard, reliable entry in the prolific series, garnering positive attention from families for its focus on the importance of heart and emotional connection in creativity.
