With many of its central personnel lost in the war, the Earth Federation Government is forced to rebuild, and Brian Midcrid, president of the Unified Colonies, takes the position of its president. During an emergency session of the Federation Diet, he publicly acknowledges the existence of extraterrestials, and reveals the events of the L5 campaign to the masses in what will later come to be called the "Tokyo Declaration". He goes on to state that these aliens pose a serious threat to humanity.

Where it came from
Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector was produced by Asahi Production and premiered in 2010 as a direct continuation of the Super Robot Wars Original Generation universe. Based on the popular tactical role-playing game series by Banpresto, the anime serves as a reimagining of the events found in the games, specifically focusing on the Inspector arc. It was created to satisfy a long-standing demand from the franchise's fanbase for a high-fidelity animation that could accurately capture the complex roster of original mecha and character interactions present in the source material.
The series was directed by Masami Obari, a veteran in the mecha genre known for his dynamic, action-oriented aesthetic. Obari aimed to emphasize the scale and power of the robotic combat sequences, utilizing a distinct visual style that prioritized fluid movement and mechanical detail. Upon its release, the series was well-received by fans of the franchise, who praised it for its faithful adaptation of the games' narrative density and the polished quality of its battle choreography, which served as a technical showcase for the studio's capabilities.
