Where it came from
Take My Brother Away! 3, also known as Take My Brother Away 3, is the third season of the popular Chinese animated series based on the web manga by You Ling. Produced by the studio Fanworks and released in 2019, the series was designed to adapt the comedic and often chaotic daily interactions between a bickering brother and sister. The animation style maintains the simplified, expressive aesthetic established in earlier seasons, focusing on rapid-fire slapstick humor and heartfelt sibling dynamics that resonated deeply with domestic and international audiences.
The production sought to balance the rapid pacing of the original web manga with the constraints of the ONA format, a challenge common to short-form episodic animation. The creative team aimed to highlight the emotional growth of the two protagonists beneath their constant pranks and petty grievances. Upon release, the third season was well-received by fans of the franchise for retaining the show's signature tone while further refining the visual gags that defined the series' early success.
