Based on the erotic game by Space Project.
The hero is an "ordinary student," Tsukui Shinichi, now in his senior year. A long-lost childhood friend, Ayase Aoi, moves in next-door and transfers into his school. Shinichi can't quite remember Aoi, which upsets her quite a bit. Her good looks attract the attention of Shinichi's comic sidekick, Yamashita Satoshi, and the school playboy, Kanzaki Kotoro. While Shinichi and Aoi spar over a potential relationship, Shinichi crosses paths with and then beds other students, including a clumsy genki girl, Fujiro Mami; an aggressive vamp, Ebina Mika; and the president of the Flower Arrangement Club, Hayama Reiko, before finally ending up in the arms of his destined True Love.

Where it came from
Tenkousei was released in 1996 as an original video animation produced by the studio Pink Pineapple. Emerging during the mid-nineties boom of the adult animation market in Japan, the production was crafted to satisfy a niche demand for high-contrast narrative vignettes common to the era's straight-to-video releases. It occupies a place in the history of independent adult animation studios that focused on short-form storytelling, prioritizing rapid character establishment and localized dramatic scenarios.
The visual design and directorial approach reflected the studio's broader commitment to a specific stylistic identity prevalent in Pink Pineapple titles of the mid-1990s. While individual credit details for the primary creative staff remain obscured by the industry's historical use of pseudonyms and production committees, the work is noted for its functional aesthetic and adherence to the character design tropes of the period. Like many of its contemporaries, it was produced for distribution through specialty rental stores and retail outlets catering to the adult enthusiast market.
