TenPuru: No Way, Why Is It So Big… / You Mustn’t Touch That

TenPuru: No Way, Why Is It So Big… was produced by Studio Gekkou and debuted in 2023 as an anime adaptation of the manga series written and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. The narrative fits firmly within the harem and ecchi comedy genres, centering on a young man who attempts to renounce his worldly desires and enter a temple, only to find himself surrounded by a group of women in a chaotic, comedic environment. The series was directed by Kazuomi Koga, who sought to translate Yoshioka's distinctive character designs and slapstick tone into an animated format.

The reception of the series was largely characterized by its adherence to established tropes within the ecchi genre, focusing on high-energy humor and visual flair. By emphasizing the contrast between the protagonist’s strict intentions and the increasingly bizarre situations at the temple, the production team aimed to capture the essence of the original manga. It has remained a niche but recognizable entry within recent seasonal anime lineups, appealing primarily to viewers familiar with the specific stylistic conventions of the source material.
