The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2

The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2 arrived nearly a decade after the 2013 original series, which was produced by White Fox. This installment moved production to Studio 3Hz, continuing the light novel adaptation by Satoshi Wagahara. The series follows Sadao Maou, the Demon Lord Satan, as he navigates mundane life in modern Tokyo while working at a fast-food restaurant, balancing comedic domesticity with fantasy action elements.

The transition to Studio 3Hz marked a significant shift in visual identity, characterized by a distinct art style that diverged from the original adaptation's aesthetic. The production aimed to revitalize the franchise for a new generation of viewers, though the change in animation direction and character design drew considerable discussion from fans of the source material. It remains a notable example of a long-gestating sequel adjusting to a new production environment while maintaining the established narrative charm.
