THE IDOLM@STER Million Live!

The Idolm@ster Million Live! television series was produced by Shirogumi and released in 2023 as a significant expansion of the long-running multimedia franchise. Originating from the 2013 social game, the project was developed to celebrate the franchise's tenth anniversary, aiming to bring the 39 Project idols to life through high-quality 3D computer animation. The series focuses on the daily efforts and growth of these characters within the 765 Production studio, serving as a heartfelt narrative companion to the earlier works in the series.

The animation direction under Shirogumi sought to balance the aesthetic established by the franchise's existing mobile games with the fluid motion required for a full-length broadcast production. The staff focused on capturing the distinct personalities of the vast ensemble cast, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the idol genre. Upon its release, the series was received by the established fan base as a faithful and technically impressive adaptation that honored the source material while expanding its reach to a broader television audience.
