Sakuradaimon is the school's prefect. A prefect is a student who is authorized to enforce discipline. As a prefect, he's supposed to be a role model to other students, but unfortunately he's not perfect. Kohinata is one of the people who Sakuradaimon has tried to discipline into wearing appropriate school attire, but she has thusfar been disobedient.
And so this is a story of the two interacting with one another.

Where it came from
The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt, produced by Zero-G and released in 2026, emerged as part of the studio's broader effort to lean into contemporary romantic-comedy trends within the anime landscape. The series was developed during a period where studios were increasingly focusing on high-concept character archetypes and lighthearted, episodic storytelling, aiming to capture a specific demographic of viewers interested in school-life comedies.
The design and animation aesthetic reflect Zero-G's established house style, which prioritizes expressive character models and accessible, vibrant color palettes suitable for television broadcast. While the production is a standard entry in the studio's catalog, it represents the ongoing industry push to adapt modest, character-driven narratives into streamlined TV formats, receiving a measured reception from audiences looking for light entertainment rather than experimental animation.
