TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2

Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2, released in 2024, continues the narrative of Makoto Misumi as he navigates a complex fantasy world. This season saw a significant shift in production, as the studio J.C.Staff took over the animation duties from C2C, the studio responsible for the first season. The transition was aimed at scaling up the production value to match the expanded scope of the light novel series, which follows the protagonist after being summoned by a goddess who finds him aesthetically displeasing.

The character designs and visual direction were curated to maintain continuity with the established aesthetic of the series while incorporating the studio's signature style. The reception of the season centered largely on the animation transition, with long-time fans evaluating how J.C.Staff captured the series' balance of action, comedy, and world-building. As part of a popular isekai franchise, the production was designed to appeal to a broad audience familiar with tropes involving overpowered protagonists and intricate fantasy political dynamics.
