UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie 3: Bride of Celestial Souls' Day

UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie 3: Bride of Celestial Souls' Day was released in 2005 as a direct-to-video follow-up to the earlier series adaptations of the manga by Kaishaku. The project emerged during a prolific period for the studio, which sought to expand on the lighthearted science fiction and romantic comedy elements established in previous installments. As an OVA, it provided the production team with the creative latitude to wrap up character arcs and experiment with the series' blend of cosmic stakes and domestic intimacy.

The character design and visual direction remained consistent with the series' established aesthetic, characterized by vibrant, whimsical depictions of the celestial princess Valkyrie and her companion, Kazuto. The project was conceived to satisfy the established fanbase's desire for further narrative resolution and additional whimsical adventures involving the cast. While it was received primarily as a niche fan service title, it solidified the series' presence within the mid-2000s anime landscape, reflecting a broader trend of utilizing OVA formats to extend the life of successful light novel and manga adaptations.
