Waisetsu Missile: THE ANIMATION

Waisetsu Missile: The Animation was released in 2013 by Pink Pineapple, a studio that established itself as a prominent force in the adult animation market beginning in the 1990s. As an original video animation, or OVA, it reflects the studio's focus on short-form, high-concept storytelling within the niche of Japanese adult media, a medium that flourished during the late 20th and early 21st centuries as a way to circumvent television broadcast restrictions.

The production follows the established aesthetic conventions of Pink Pineapple, which often prioritized vibrant character designs and exaggerated scenarios characteristic of the era's mid-tier adult productions. Like many of the studio's titles from this period, it served to satisfy a dedicated fan base looking for visual adaptations of popular erotic tropes, though it remained a largely underground work outside of specific enthusiast circles.
