A man walks in a crowd. He cannot stand the crowd but to cover his ears. Then it disappears and he gets lost in a white void space. In that space there is no other man but himself. He had nothing to identify himself and his existence was to come to naught. He starts to struggle to get away from there.

Where it came from
Walls was produced by Geidai Animation, the animation department of the Tokyo University of the Arts, which serves as a creative laboratory for emerging filmmakers. The film emerged from the university's rigorous graduate program, where students are encouraged to explore experimental visual narratives and unconventional storytelling techniques. It reflects the department's focus on blending traditional artistic sensibilities with contemporary animation technology.
The film's aesthetic is characterized by a minimalist, structural approach to animation that emphasizes texture and form. The design choices were aimed at evoking a sense of containment and psychological resonance, typical of the introspective works often produced within the Geidai environment. While the film remained an academic project rather than a commercial release, it was well-regarded within festival circles for its precise technical execution and its evocative, atmospheric visual language.
