Where it came from
Welsh & Shedar is a 2026 television series produced by Studio Massket, emerging as a notable addition to the studio's portfolio of contemporary animated works. Created during a period of shifting trends in streaming animation, the series was designed to explore a distinct narrative balance between character-driven drama and stylistic, high-contrast visual design, reflecting the studio's commitment to maintaining a boutique aesthetic in an increasingly digital-forward industry.
The visual identity of the series was developed to push the boundaries of traditional motion aesthetics, with the design team focusing on expressive, fluid character silhouettes that contrast against minimalist, atmospheric backgrounds. Upon its release, critics and viewers alike responded to the show's deliberate pacing and unique artistic choices, noting that the production represented a clear attempt by Studio Massket to elevate the storytelling standards within its specific genre of television production.
