Xi Yangyang Yu Hui Tailang: Kuang Chu Weilai

Xi Yangyang Yu Hui Tailang: Kuang Chu Weilai, also known as Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: Defend the Future, was released in 2013 as the fifth feature film in the long-running Chinese animated franchise. Produced by Alpha Animation, the film was designed to capitalize on the massive cultural footprint of the original television series, which had become a staple of children's programming across China since its debut in 2005. The transition to the big screen allowed the studio to experiment with higher production values and more intricate storytelling, maintaining the core dynamic between the clever goat Pleasant Goat and the persistent, yet frequently defeated, antagonist Big Big Wolf.

The film's aesthetic continues the established visual identity of the franchise, which emphasizes bright, saturated colors and expressive character designs intended to appeal to a younger demographic. Directed by Jianming Huang, the production team sought to weave themes of time travel and friendship into the familiar conflict, receiving a generally positive reception from its target family audience. It remains a notable entry in the series, reflecting the peak of the franchise's influence in the early 2010s and showcasing the studio's ability to consistently scale its intellectual property for theatrical release.
