Xing Yuan Zhi Jing

Xing Yuan Zhi Jing, also known as The Starry Love, emerged from the prolific animation and digital media division of Tencent Penguin Pictures. Released as an ONA (Original Net Animation) series, it represents a significant effort by Tencent to leverage their vast internal intellectual property portfolios and high-fidelity 3D animation pipelines. The production sought to capture the growing domestic demand for high-fantasy xianxia narratives, blending traditional mythological motifs with contemporary visual storytelling techniques favored by streaming audiences.

The series design aesthetic reflects a deliberate shift toward stylized, high-contrast digital modeling, intended to evoke both ethereal grace and dynamic action. The creative direction prioritized character-centric character design, often echoing the visual languages established in earlier, commercially successful Tencent-produced animations. Upon its release, the project was met with attention from a dedicated demographic of animation enthusiasts, who noted its technical polish and the studio's commitment to maintaining visual consistency across its digital offerings.
