Xiong Chumo: Xiari Lianlian Kan

Xiong Chumo: Xiari Lianlian Kan is a spin-off series produced by the Chinese animation studio Fantawild, expanding upon the immensely popular Boonie Bears franchise. The series was developed to capitalize on the success of the central characters, Briar and Bramble, while pivoting toward a more casual, puzzle-oriented format that appeals to a younger demographic. It emerged from Fantawild's broader strategy to establish their intellectual property as a multimedia powerhouse in the Chinese domestic market, utilizing their established aesthetic of bright, computer-generated animation.

The design of the series centers on the established visual language of the Boonie Bears universe, characterized by vibrant color palettes and accessible, simplified character models intended for a children's audience. Fantawild’s creative team aimed to blend traditional narrative elements with interactive, game-like scenarios. Since its release, the series has been received as a functional addition to the franchise's extensive catalog, serving as a reliable entry point for new fans while maintaining the recognizable character archetypes developed by the studio over the preceding decade.
