Where it came from
The Yarichin☆Bitch-bu OVA was released in 2018 by Studio GRIZZLY, adapting the popular adult manga series by Ogeretsu Tanaka. Produced to coincide with the release of the series' third volume, the project was developed to bring the irreverent, high-school-set narrative to life through animation, maintaining the provocative tone and character-driven humor that defined the source material.
The adaptation was directed by Ai Yoshimura, who aimed to balance the series' explicit comedic tropes with a distinct, stylized aesthetic. Upon its release, it became a notable entry in the boys' love genre for its self-aware approach to character archetypes. While the subject matter is highly controversial and niche, the production was received within its target demographic as a faithful representation of the manga's chaotic visual style and eccentric ensemble cast.
