The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time!
In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.
Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.
Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

Where it came from
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon premiered in 2020 as a direct sequel and spin-off to the seminal anime series Inuyasha. Produced by Sunrise, the series was designed to expand upon the fantasy world created by Rumiko Takahashi, focusing on the journeys of the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. The project emerged from a desire to revisit the beloved feudal-era setting while introducing a new generation of characters tasked with uncovering their mysterious heritage.
The character designs were overseen by Rumiko Takahashi herself, who aimed to provide visual continuity with the original series while giving the new protagonists distinct, modern aesthetics. The series received significant attention from the global fanbase upon its announcement, serving as a nostalgic bridge for long-time viewers of the original 2000s series. While critics noted the shift in tone and the departure from the original's primary narrative focus, the series became a notable example of the trend of reviving classic anime properties for a contemporary audience.
