The Youkai Ninpouchou Jiraiya! promotional video was produced in the late 1980s as a high-energy marketing piece to build anticipation for the tokusatsu television series Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya. These promotional materials were typically crafted by Toei Company production teams to capture the attention of children and genre enthusiasts, blending dynamic action sequences from the show with music and narration to establish the series' unique mystical, ninja-themed atmosphere.

The visual design of the series and its associated promotional content leaned heavily into the 'Metal Hero' aesthetic that Toei had been developing throughout the decade. By combining traditional ninjutsu motifs with futuristic, metallic armor, the production team aimed to differentiate Jiraiya from earlier, more grounded iterations of the ninja trope. The resulting footage was received as a definitive example of the late-Showa era's creative excess, characterized by vibrant costumes and elaborate practical effects that remain a point of interest for genre historians.
