Zuoshou Shanglan 3

Zuoshou Shanglan 3, or Left-Hand Layup 3, emerged from the collaborative efforts of Heart & Soul Animation as a significant installment in a Chinese animated series centered on the sport of basketball. The series was developed to capture the growing cultural resonance of basketball within China, aiming to blend high-octane sports action with nuanced character development that resonates with a domestic youth audience.

The production is noted for its distinctive visual style, which deliberately moves away from traditional anime aesthetics to develop a unique look characterized by fluid motion and expressive character designs. Upon its release as an ONA (Original Net Animation), the series was largely praised by domestic audiences for its technical animation quality and its ability to ground its high-stakes athletic sequences in a setting that feels authentic to the contemporary urban experience of its viewers.
