Black-chested Fruiteater

The Black-chested Fruiteater, known taxonomically as Pipreola lubomirskii, was first described by Władysław Taczanowski in 1879. It is a member of the cotinga family, a group of birds primarily found in the tropical regions of Central and South America. The species is endemic to the humid montane forests of the eastern Andes, spanning parts of Ecuador and Peru, where it thrives in the dense, shaded canopy layers typical of its high-altitude habitat.
