Great Cormorant

The Great Cormorant, Phalacrocorax carbo, is a widespread member of the Phalacrocoracidae family, naturally evolved to thrive in diverse coastal and freshwater environments globally. Its evolutionary history reflects a specialization for pursuit-diving, resulting in the species' characteristic broad wings and pointed tail, which facilitate both powerful flight and efficient underwater propulsion.
