Spix's Spinetail

The Spix's Spinetail, scientifically classified as Synallaxis spixi, is a passerine bird belonging to the ovenbird family, Furnariidae. Named in honor of the German naturalist Johann Baptist von Spix, who collected specimens during his expedition to Brazil in the early 19th century, the species is native to the southeastern regions of South America.
