Ardipithecus kadabba

This work serves as a scholarly monograph documenting the discovery and analysis of Ardipithecus kadabba, a species of hominin dating back approximately 5.2 to 5.8 million years. Authored by paleoanthropologist Yohannes Haile-Selassie and published by the University of California Press in 2008, the volume emerged from the extensive fieldwork conducted in the Middle Awash region of Ethiopia. It provides a foundational scientific account of the dental and skeletal remains that offer critical insights into the evolution of early bipedalism and the divergence of the hominin lineage.

The design and content of the book reflect the rigorous standards of academic publishing in human evolution, focusing on comparative anatomy and environmental context. Haile-Selassie, a renowned specialist in the field, structured the text to synthesize complex paleontological data into a coherent narrative for the scientific community. Upon its release, the volume was received as a definitive reference for researchers, providing essential evidence that expanded the known timeline of early hominid development and established the Middle Awash project's findings within the broader canon of physical anthropology.
