Das Evangelium nach Johannes. Die Johannesbriefe

Published in 2008 by Books on Demand, this edition of the Gospel of John and the Johannine Epistles represents a modern approach to scriptural distribution. Created by Jörg Scholz, the work emerged during a period when print-on-demand technology began significantly altering the landscape for independent theological and devotional publishing, allowing niche scholarly or personal interpretations of religious texts to reach readers without the need for traditional institutional backing.

The volume focuses on presenting the Johannine corpus in a accessible, streamlined format. As a publication under the Books on Demand model, it prioritizes the availability of the text rather than elaborate illustrative design, reflecting a functional aesthetic common in contemporary German theological self-publishing. It serves as an example of how individual authors utilize modern self-publishing platforms to curate and disseminate classical biblical texts for personal study or small group reflection.
