Pinnock's Improved Edition of Dr. Goldsmith's History of Greece

Originally published in the early 19th century, Pinnock’s editions of Oliver Goldsmith’s histories were foundational educational texts in the British and American school systems. William Pinnock sought to make Goldsmith’s historical narratives more accessible and pedagogical, supplementing the original prose with study questions and notes that transformed the work into a standardized academic tool for students of the era.

This 2023 edition by Creative Media Partners is a modern reprint designed to preserve historical literary texts. By digitizing and reissuing out-of-print educational materials, the publisher aims to maintain the availability of classical curricula. The design focuses on readability while retaining the authentic structure of the original pedagogical presentation intended by Pinnock nearly two centuries ago.
