Rainy Week By

Rainy Week is a children's story originally written and illustrated by Eleanor Abbott, first published in 1921. The narrative reflects the gentle, didactic style typical of early 20th-century juvenile literature, focusing on simple domestic activities and the imaginative ways children occupied their time during indoor play. The work is widely regarded as a charming relic of its era, capturing the innocence and pedagogical tone favored by educators and parents of the period.

The 2013 edition published by CreateSpace serves as a modern facsimile, intended to preserve Abbott's original illustrations and text for a contemporary audience. By utilizing print-on-demand technology, this release allows new generations to access the classic work without the scarcity issues often associated with antiquarian copies. The design remains faithful to the original aesthetic, honoring Abbott's intent to provide whimsical yet grounded entertainment for young readers.
