Vita Di Andrea Palladio Vicentino Egregio Architetto

Tommaso Temanza first published his definitive biography, Vita di Andrea Palladio, in 1762. As a Venetian architect and historian of the 18th century, Temanza was driven by a desire to document the life of the Renaissance master Palladio with newfound rigor, relying on archival research rather than the anecdotal traditions of his predecessors. This work remains a foundational text in architectural history, capturing the transition of neoclassical scholarship during the Enlightenment.

This 2023 edition by Creative Media Partners is a modern reprint of Temanza's historical text. Such reproductions are produced to make rare, scholarly documents accessible to contemporary historians and architects who study Palladian influence. By preserving the original structure and insights provided by Temanza, these volumes serve as essential reference material for those interested in the evolution of architectural biography and the enduring legacy of Palladio’s structures.
