Vita del beato Giovanni Massias, converso della provincia di S. Giovanni Battista del Perú dell' Ordine de predicatori ..

Published in Rome by the Salviucci press in 1837, this biography examines the life of Giovanni Massias, a 17th-century Dominican lay brother renowned for his devotion to the poor and his missionary work in Lima, Peru. The text was authored by Tommaso Giacinto Cipolletti, a member of the Order of Preachers, as part of the historical tradition of recording the lives of beatified figures to serve as moral exemplars for the faithful.

The publication arrived during a period of renewed interest in the lives of saints and beatified individuals within the Catholic Church, particularly those associated with the Dominican order. Designed as a hagiographic record, the volume reflects the formal printing standards of the mid-19th-century Roman publishing trade. While not widely known in secular literary circles, such works were primary reading materials within religious communities and theological libraries of the era, focusing on the spiritual legacy of Massias following his formal beatification by Pope Gregory XVI in 1837.
