Provenance

Where it came from

A Jolly Irish Christmas: Volume II was released in 2020 by the Northern Irish folk-worship band Rend Collective. Following the success of their first holiday collection, the band sought to capture the spirit of their home culture, blending traditional Celtic instrumentation with their signature energetic, acoustic-driven style to provide a unique perspective on standard carols and original seasonal songs.

The album reflects the band’s commitment to community-focused songwriting and their distinct blend of folk and worship music. By incorporating instruments like the fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhran, the band aimed to transport listeners to an Irish fireside setting. The project was well-received by fans of modern Christian music who favored an authentic, organic sound over more polished, synthesized holiday arrangements.
