A Tribute To The Greatest Hits Of Jennifer Lopez

Released in 2003 by the budget-friendly label Prism Leisure, this compilation titled A Tribute To The Greatest Hits Of Jennifer Lopez was part of a series of sound-alike records produced by the company. At the time, Prism Leisure specialized in affordable recordings that emulated the hits of contemporary pop icons, often marketed toward casual listeners who wanted an inexpensive alternative to major-label artist catalogs. The tracks on this disc were performed by the artist credited as Jenny L, an identity used to replicate the vocal style of Jennifer Lopez during the peak of her early 2000s commercial success.

The production approach focused on functional fidelity, aiming to capture the arrangements and instrumentation of Lopez's most popular singles for a budget audience. As a product of the mid-2000s 'tribute' market, the release was designed to sit in racks at high-street retailers alongside discount DVDs and bargain-bin CDs. It was received largely as a novelty item rather than a serious musical entry, serving as a reminder of the era when independent labels frequently leveraged the popularity of superstar artists through cover-version recordings.
