André van Duin & Corry van Gorp

This 2005 release from CNR Music serves as a compilation celebrating the enduring comedic and musical partnership between André van Duin and Corry van Gorp. The collection draws from their work together during the 1970s and 1980s, a period when they were central figures in Dutch light entertainment. Their collaborative sketches and songs, often featured on television programs like 'Dagje ouder', were characterized by a playful, slapstick sensibility that became a staple of Dutch pop culture.

The design of this compilation aims to capture the nostalgic appeal of their variety show performances. By gathering their most recognized duets, the release contextualizes their specific brand of humor within the history of Dutch television. While van Duin remained a prominent solo figure throughout his career, this retrospective acknowledges the specific chemistry he shared with van Gorp, whose timing and theatrical background provided the necessary counterpoint to van Duin's comedic style.
