Eleanora

The self-titled album Eleanora by the Belgian post-metal band Eleanora was released in 2014 through the independent label Consouling Sounds. Emerging from the vibrant and experimental Belgian heavy music scene, the album reflects the label's commitment to supporting artists who blend atmospheric sludge with emotional, post-hardcore intensity. The record serves as a pivotal entry in the band's discography, showcasing their focus on building dense, melancholic soundscapes that prioritize slow-burning crescendos over traditional song structures.

The design of the release adheres to the minimalist and tactile aesthetic often championed by Consouling Sounds, which frequently partners with visual artists to ensure the physical packaging complements the sonic density of the music. By emphasizing physical media, the band aimed to offer a complete experience for listeners, grounding their abstract and cathartic compositions in a tangible format. Upon its release, the album was received as a nuanced addition to the European underground metal circuit, noted for its earnest delivery and the cohesion of its production.
