Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (The Concept Album)

It was crafted by Dan Gillespie Sells, the lead singer of The Feeling, alongside writer Tom MacRae, following their decision to explore the true story of Jamie Campbell, a teenager from County Durham who campaigned to attend his school prom in drag. The project was conceived as a way to workshop the narrative and melodies before the stage production fully materialized, drawing heavily on pop sensibilities to ground the story in a modern, relatable musical landscape.
