Ik Neem Vandaag De Trein

Ik Neem Vandaag De Trein was released in 2000 as a single by Belgian singer Vanessa Chinitor, following her representation of Belgium in the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest. The track emerged during a period in which Chinitor was establishing her solo career in the Flemish pop scene, aiming to capitalize on the visibility gained from her international television appearance. It is a representative example of late-nineties Dutch-language pop produced for the domestic Belgian market.

The recording was issued under the II Music label and reflects the polished, radio-friendly production standards typical of the era's light entertainment music in Flanders. The song's design and arrangement emphasize a melodic, accessible style intended to appeal to a broad audience of adult contemporary listeners. Upon its release, it served as a modest entry in the artist's discography, maintaining her presence on the regional airwaves without shifting significantly from the established pop conventions of the time.
