Jamie Wilson Band

The Jamie Wilson Band self-titled CD was released in 1994 as an independent project, emerging from the vibrant regional music scene of the mid-1990s. At a time when the music industry was heavily influenced by the rise of alternative rock and grunge, many independent artists utilized home-recorded or small-studio productions to distribute their music directly to fans at local venues and through regional radio promotion.

As a release on a non-labeled imprint, the album serves as a snapshot of the era's DIY ethos, where musicians handled their own production and design without the oversight of major label distribution. The aesthetic of the packaging often reflected the minimalist, utilitarian approach common to early independent CDs of that decade, focusing on direct artist-to-listener connection rather than the polished graphic design trends seen in mainstream commercial releases.
