The Rivals Are Fed And Rested

The Rivals Are Fed And Rested serves as a 2024 independent release by Yohan Kisser, representing the artist's exploration of contemporary sonic textures outside the structure of traditional record labels. Created as a self-distributed project, the album reflects a shift toward autonomous creative output where the artist maintains complete control over the production environment and the final delivery of their vision. This approach allows for a raw, unmediated experience, prioritizing the artist's immediate intentions over the commercial constraints typically associated with established music industry releases.

The album's conceptual framework draws from a minimalist aesthetic, favoring atmospheric compositions that characterize Kisser's recent artistic direction. By choosing to release this work without a formal label, the artist avoids the standard marketing cycle, instead relying on digital availability to reach a niche audience. Reception of the record has centered on its experimental nature, with listeners noting the intricate sound design and the deliberate pacing that marks it as a distinct entry in the artist's evolving catalog.
